Breast Reduction ( Reduction Mammoplasty ):

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure where a large pendulous breast is reduced and reshaped. Large breasts may cause shoulder and back pain. Severe embarrasement and skin infections below the breast are the other problems faced.

Procedure

Procedure: The procedure is done under general anaesthesia. The size of the breast is reduced by removing the excess breast tissue, fat and skin to create a smaller, aesthetically pleasing breast. The nipple is relocated higher to match the breast. A stay of 1-2 days in the hospital is required.

Breast Lift ( Mastopexy ):

The breasts sag due to pregnancy and aging. In the breast lift surgery, the sagging and drooping breasts are lifted, tightened and reshaped. The scars tend to fade with time. Breast feeding can be done normally. It can be be combined with breast augmentation to enhance the breast size.
